Fun Science Treat. Grade school children from Ricardo P. Cruz Sr. Elementary School from Bicutan, Taguig were treated to a fun science learning as staff of the NRCP toured them to interactive exhibit displays that showcase some of NRCP’s outstanding researches at the NRCP Auditorium in Bicutan, Taguig. The activity is part of the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) Celebration that runs from July 25-29, 2016.
Kids’ Awareness of the Changing Climate. Children from grades 4 to 6 get a head start on the effects of the changing climate during the NRCP-sponsored Forum on Climate Change as part of the National Science and Technology Week (NSTW) celebration which runs from July 25-29, 2016. A total of 180 grade schoolers from the nearby communities participated in the first day of the forum which comprised lecture, film showing and Question and Answer held at the NRCP Auditorium in Bicutan, Taguig City. Ms. Loucel Cui (topmost photo) of the University of the Philippines Los Baños School of Environmental Science and Management lectured on how climate change affects people’s lives and the environment and the importance of increasing young people’s awareness and their roles to combat its effects.
